Why
control rodents?
Rats and mice infestation is a universal problem. They spread disease
very rapidly and cause damage to buildings, sometimes starting fires,
and eat human foodstuffs - contaminating much of what they do not eat
with droppings, urine and hair. A single pair of rodents can produce 10,000
descendents in a year! This fast breeding rate explains the need to have
rodent control. According to the World Health Organization, more than
half the world's population will live in towns and cities by the year
2000, and so the problem of rodents in the urban environment is likely
to increase. It is necessary to implement effective rodent control programmes.
